Paris, the city of lights

I just got back from Paris, it was just a short four day trip where I spent more money than I meant to. That’s actually what always happens to me when I don’t plan things properly, but in this case, I got to say it was worth it so far.
The original plan I had was to just watch the Mormon General Conference in Paris with some friends. For those who don’t know what Mormon General Conference is, it’s an official LDS conference that happens only twice a year which is transmitted to the whole world via satellite from Salt Lake City, Utah, US. The main purpose of this conference is to give us a chance to learn positive things from the LDS Church authorities that help us be better persons in very many different ways. I actually quite liked it.
I had planned to come back to Brussels on Sunday but I eventually decided to stay in Paris two more days. Andrew and Robbie (two American friends of mine) convinced me to visit Disneyland. As I only knew the California and Florida parks in the US, I liked the idea to know the Paris park. So on Monday morning, we went to the park; Once there, just at the main entrance waiting in the line to get our tickets, the park immediately brought me back a whole bunch of memories of my childhood. The first time I visited a Disneyland park was around fifteen years ago; Though, at the time, I was just a little child, I can still remember too many moments that I lived with my family at Walt Disney World. Visiting Disneyland Paris and seeing the park through the eyes of a child allowed me to relive those moments again, so I had a pretty good time and so much fun with Robbie and Andrew at the park. It was a worthwhile experience that I enjoyed immensely.
I’ll try to blog something more extensive on this trip later on. I was actually thinking to post the next blog entry in French, it feels good to talk about a trip to Paris in French.
I uploaded some pictures over at Flickr if you want to check them out.
